Odds and sods

With AWA, ammunition supply plays a large part of the game.  Each unit has a finite amount of ammunition and running dry has serious morale and offensive capacity consequences.  Each player has a separate store that can be used to resupply units.  To do so the ammo has to be physically  moved from the store to unit.  This can be carried by truck, lorry, car, hand and by cart.

Here are two carts I prepared quite a while ago.  I'm not sure but I think they are from Essex Miniatures. The figures are a couple of Peter Pig Mexican bandits.

Snipers in the game tend to appear as the result of the draw of a chance card.  Once on the table the opposing player has a slim chance of spotting the sniper. Paul Eaglestone advises players to play fair and avoid "misdirected" artillery fire landing on the sniper.  As expected the sniper rifle has excellent range.  I constructed this figure from an old Forged In Battle German trooper with a green stuff camouflage cloak.  The brickwork parts are  scrounged from an ancient set of 20mm Soviet troops.

¡No pasarán!
